The Wairarapa- Farmers' 00.-op. Association,' Ltd. (Stock Department), Pahintpa, report on their weekly salo, held in tho Farmers' Yards, Fahiatua, on Tuesday, July 6, as follown:—We yarded about BW sheep and 70 head of cattle. The general tonß of the sale throughout showed a deoided improvement, competition for sheep being exceptionally kcon, and tho demand for cattle was much more brisk than hai been tho case for tome time past. Wo quote the following gales:—lo4 2-tootlt wethors, Mb. 6d.: 48 f. and f. ewes, 295. Id.; 7! m.a. ewes, 255. Bd.; 70 empty cwea, 255. 4d.; 27 m.B. hoggets, 245. 6d.; 26 b.f. hogget's, 20b.; 10 cull ewes, 13b. 3d.; 10 Hereford heifers In calf, £6 10s.; 8 empty cows, £6 3b.; 9 do., £5 195.; 17 do.. £6 Bs.; 5 do., £5: 1 Jersey heifers, £8; 3 do,, £6. (Stock Department), Pahiatua, report' on tho undermentioned clearing sales as follow:—At Marima, on Friday, July 2, we hold a successful clearing sale on account of Mr. A. D. Bryant. We were successful in clearing tho whole of tho entry under the hammer. at satisfactory prices. The following are some of tho prices realised:—4 and 6-tooth wethers, 295. Si.; 4 and 6-tooth to f.m. owes in' lamb, 265. 10d.; do., 225.; m.s. 2-tooths, 255.; m.s. hoggets, 17a.; 2Jyear steers, 45.; bull, £4; 4 dairy cows, £15 Ss., £11, £8 10s., and £5 155.; 3 weaner heifers, £3; yearling heifers, £3; 2 yearling steers, 22». At Kohinui, on Saturday, July 3, we held a successful clearing sale on account of Mr. W. N. Miller, when we were successful in disposing of the bulk of the offering. There was a good attendance of tho public, and competition for dairy stock was keen. Following are some of the prices:—Dniry cows, from £23 10a., £21 15s„ £20 15s'„ £20 10b., £19 10b., £18 17s. 6d., £18 55.: £11, £17 10s.. £17, £16 • 55., £15 10b.. £14. £13 2s. 6d., £13. £12 155., £12 10b., £12 down to £6 10s.; the herd of 49 dairy cows averaged the satisfactory price of £12 18s,; yearling springing heifers. £8; 6 heifers (r.w.b.), £8 5b., £6 15b. to £4 10s.; fat cow, £11 5b.; steers, £4 Is.; calves, 10s.; bulls. 1\ guineas to £6: 103 eweß, 355. 2d.; 47hoggets, 17s. 9d.; 1 gelding, £30; 1 7-year mare, £25; 1 aged do., £19; 1 mare, £7 55.; \ ponv, £10; 1 do., £4 10s.; sows made from £9 2s, 6d„ £8 12b.- 6d. to £6 10s.; boar, £7 7s. 6d.; 15 pigs, 365. to 20s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at Levin on Tueday they offered to a good attendance of buyers a fair entry of sheep and cattle. Competition was keen for Bheep, nnd cattle also met -with a better demand. Quotations:—Medium woolly hossets. 245.; small do. (shorn), 15b. 4d. to 17s. 2<T.; b.f. do., 15s. Id.; aged store ewes. 19s. Tho Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd.; renort on their Pahiatua sale, held on Tuesday:—We had a good entry of Bheep and cattle, which we offered to a good attendance of buyers, both local nnd outside. There was good competition for sit classes of stock, ejeept dairy cflttle. We quote:—2-tooth ewes in lamb, 295. 2d.; 2-tooth wethcTs, 295. 6d.; empty owes. 225. 10d.; ewes in lamb to b.f. rams, 345. 4d.; aged- ewes, 19s. 6d.: dairy heifers, £7 10s., £9, £9 10s. to .fill 10s.; fat cows, £9 65.; forward cows, £6 Us. to £8 ss. Messrs. Dalgcty and Company, Limited, Pnlmflrston North, report having a successful clearine sale on' account of Mr. J, Wingato, Fitzherbort, on Tuesday. Following aro quotations :-Oull lambs, 10s.; fair mixed hoggets. 20s. 6d.; small 2-tooth ewes In lamb. 275.
