SPA CONFERENCE
MILITARY CLAUSES OF THE PEACE TREATY HE DELAY IN FULFILMENT ByTelezraßh-Presa Aflsoolfttion-Oopyrlsit (Eec. July 9, 1.25 a.m.) London, July 7. A Spa communique reports at a fully attended conference, including the Allies' military and naval advisors, the German Minister of Defence reported in regard to tho execution of the military abuses of the Treaty. Herr von Simons made a supplementary statement. It transpired from ' this that the German Government attempted to attribute the delays in this matter to the economic situation, especially pa regards reducing the military effectives, alleging- it was impossible to disband more rapidly, hecause the men would thus swell the ranks of the unemployed.—Renter. , GERMAN DEFENCE MINISTER •■ THREATENS TO WITHDRAW. Spa, July 6. Herr (jrcflsler, in a.n interview, says he intends to retire from the conference unless more favourable terms are granted.
