WOOLLEN EMPLOYEES' AWARD
APPLICATION FOR VARIATION DISMISSED. By Telegraph-Press Association. Dunedin, July 1. The Arbitration Court dismissed ■ the nrmlicntkin of the Dunedin and Mosgiel Woollen Kills Union andOnmaru Woollen Mii'Js Union to vary the Otago, Southland, Canterbury, Wellington, md Ivorthern Industrial Districts Federated Woollen Employees' award. The Court held that the applications could not bo entertained, for the rear son that they were, not properly before the Court, inasmuch as tho War Legislation Act required such applications to be made by a party to nn award. These unions were not partita to the award, and had no locus standi to mako (in application to amend an award. The proper party to mnkc such application, if it thought proper to do so, was the' association .of worker* who were party to award, and of _nhich the two umons mentioned were oni.y constituent unions. ' '
