A YOUNG MAN'S SUICIDE
BODY; FOUND AT NEW BRIGHTON.
By Telegraph—ProES Association Christchurch, July 1. The body of Georgo Leonard Bowron was found on New Brighton, beach, the circumstances pointing to suicide. Deceased- was 33 years of age, a single man, and eldest son of Mr. George Bowron, a member of the firm of Bowron Brothers;, Alongside tho body was a- revolver, two chambers of which had been discharged into deceased's mouth. In a Pocket, oi the coat were two letters marked strict lv private." One was addressed to deceased's father. Deceased, was well., known in motorins and musical circles. An inquest was held to-night when, evidence was given that deceased left his homo on Wednesday morning, and was not soon again by his family, Iwo lettew ivero found on tho body. On<> addressed to a lady; it was in affeetionato terms. Tho other read:— Dearest Father-Please forgive me. I havo done no evil. I had to go. lam sorry for all the trouble you have had straightening up my affairs, but I couldn t \ eiy well do it myself. Please, father, will vou give ,£SOOO of my cash to —. She is a very sweet girl, and I lovo her more than life. The rest of my estate pleaso divide up as you think ■ bost. Do not sorrow for dio» bcoause I luid a, bs&utiful happy life, thanks to you and mother and (ill the family.. Giyo my love to all, and think only sweet thoughts, and foract till sorrow in-conncction with mo. Good-bye.—Your loving son, (Signed) G. L. Bowron." A verdict was returned tlint deceaeod died as the result of a bullet wound in the mouth and throat, self-inflicted. ' • ■ ■ •
