PRODUCE MARKET DULL
By TelegrapJj-Presß Association. Christchurch, Juno 29. The dullness in the grain and produce trade is exceptional for this season of tho year. Tho Primo Minister's announcement conveying tho definite character of the refusal of the Commonwealth to lift tho potato embargo has doprcssed tho market ntill further, and lines of 20 tons and thereabouts have been purchased at •A' 3 per ton nt country stations, with merchants disinclined to buy even at that price. A handsomo margin is availablo for Australian business if the embargo were lifted. . Outs remain fairly firm at recent quotations, but business is practically nil. The only lino in whicn any activity has been experienced during the veok is clover, transactions having taken placo on the basis of 2s. for both red and white.
