A WITNESS CORRECTS HIS . EVIDENCE. . '

(Rec. June 29, 10.40 p.m.)

Sydney, June .29. At to-day's hearing of the Industrial Workers of the World case, Scully, one of the main witnesses for the Crown in previous trials, admitted under crossexamination that some 'of his ' previous evidence did not covei 1 the whole truth, because ho was not then permitted an opportunity of telling the whole story. He also corrected some details previously given, thereby showing that the fires in connection with which the prisoners were convicted occurred before thejr were supplied, through the agency of witness, with chemical ftr raising quick fires. The impression given at the -previous trials' was that the chemical was supplied before the fires occurred.—Press Assn.
