J. C. WILLIAMSON AND J. AND N. TAIT. < ' i Melbourne, June 29. It is unofficially reported'that an amalgamation has ,lwen made .liehveon the theatrical firms of J. C. Williamson and J. and N. Tait.—Press Assn. [The reported amalgamation of J. C. Williamson, Ltd., and J. and N. Tait will excite considerable interest in Wellington. Up ti!l some tour or five years ago Messrs. J. and N. Tait, of Melbourne, pretty well restricted thomselves to tlio management of the concert tans of prominent singers and instrumentalisis, but the joining up with the firm of Mr. E. J. Tait,. who had been manager in Sydney for J. C. Williamson, Ltd., led to a ohaago of policy, tho-firm resolving to enter into 'the theatrical field proper. Only recently it was announced that J. and N. Tait had purchased a central sito for a theatre in Auckland. J. C. .Williamson, Ltd.'s, interests in New Zealand consist of leases of the theatres in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchuroh. Mr. Bert Royle represents J. C. Williamson, Ltd., here, anil at present the Tait firm is represented by Mr. H'aroM Bowden.]
