For some, years schoolboys' hockey matches have been non-existent in Wellington, but the Wellington Itockey Association this year lias'taken steps to promote interest. in the 6tick game in the schools. Tho Karori school is the nossesjor, of a strong eleven. Te Aro School has also formed a team, which has boon matched against Karori. This match, which will eventuato shortly, is expected to go far towards creating, interest in tho game amongst tho other schools, and the association is confident of having a sufficient, number of school teams to run a competition next, season. The secretary of tho association would be pleased to hear from any of the headmasters of city schools interested in tho project.
