HITCH IN FORMATION OF CABINET PARTY CONFLICT PREVENTS COALITION By Tolegraph-Preßß Aeaooiation-OopyrlgM Berlin, Juno 23. A hitch has arisen in the formation of a Cabinet. The "Plural" Socialists refuEe to support the Government, and it is therefore doubtful whether the Democrats can farm a Ministry. The situation is also more acute owing to the conflict between the Centre and the People's Party. The latter claim the portfolios of Finance, Post and Telegraphs, and Pood, which the Centre Party holds.— Aus.-N.Z. Calfe Assn. Berlin, Juno 23. After protracted negotiations, the new Qabinet was virtually formed, but a serious hitch occurred at tho last moment. Tho Social Democrats refused to vote confidence in any Government in which the People's Party was represented. Tho Democrats resolved that it was impossible in these circumstances to form a Government abl© to negotiate at Spa with the confidence of Parliament behind it.—Eeuter.
COMMUNISTS AGREE UPON STRIKE HIGH PRICES CAUSE RIOTING. Berlin, June 23. The Communists had a secret meeting and agreed upon ti general strike after the, Rciohstag assembles on Thursday. They also passed a resolution in favour of arming the workers. There has been serious rioting at Osnabruck, KrefeM, and Frankfort.
