Women's National Rescrvs. The Wellington South branch of tho Women's National: licstrvo held their meeting last night at St. James's-Church Boom. Mrs. Shirer pitsided. The various activities of the W.N.R. were fully discussed, and the branch dccided to have a stall on Violet Day early in August. Arrangements were n!so made for an "at home" to be held in July for funds for the W.N.R. residential nursery. The committee had visited the nursery recently, and they express great appreciation of the work being dene there', and the general management and arrangement, of the establishment. The members decided to support nnd help the residential nursery in- every possible way. A largo amount of sewing was' distributed among the members. Tho W.N.R. nursing scheme was also discussed, and appreciation expressed of tho help of the. Public Health Department.

The following letter addressed to the military secretary' of thlo Y.M.C.A. National Committee was received from the officer commanding H.keora ' Military Sanatorium (Major Short), in reference to-the services of Miss Dora 1 Murch for that institution:—"May I take this opportunity of expressing to you my deep appreciation tof Miss Jlurch's work at this sanatorium, is you are aware, Miss Muroh arrived here very shortly after the institution vas opened, and it Is in no small part due to Miss. Murch that our difficulties were steadily and finally completely ovorcomo. Her influence on tho patients tit all. times has been very evident, nnd lias gone very far to make a true home of the institution. I cannot speak in too highl terms of my appreciation of her excellent work here; needless to say I'have always found her very helpful, and regretted. sincerely that she had to leave us."
