By Telegraph—Press Association. i . - . Chrlstchurch, June 23. At Addington market to-day the yardings of fat sheep, store 6heep. and fat lambs were smaller than those of last week, but in fat cattle a greater number camo forward.
Store Sheep.—The entries included a fair number of Southland and West Const lines. The sale opened with a decidedly healthy tone, and a clearance wns effected at last week's rotes. Good hoggets, 17s. Od. to 255.; itferior hoggets, 15s. 6d. to 16s. Od.: good 2 and 4-tooth ewes, 325.; 4, 6; and 8-rooth ewes. 265. to 295.; s.m. ewes, 18s. 9d. to 21s. Gd.; cull ewes, 12s. fid. to IGs, Gd.: 2-toothl wethers, 235. to 26.3.; i, fi, and 8-tooth wethers, 28s. fid. to 355.; inferior. 4. G, and 8tooth' wethers, 225. Gd. to 2Gs. 9d.
• I'at Lambs.—The -yarding was the smallest for several weeks, comprising 1450, compared with 1650 last week. Owing to the small entry tiiere was a ready snlc, and, except for inferior stuff,/ advanced prices were obtained. Freezing buyers again operated to a considerable extent. Extra prime lambs, 345. Cd. /to 475.; primo lambs, £7s. 9d. to 335. 9d.: medium lambs. 255. to 275. 3d.; light and unfinished, 19s. Gdi to 245. (id.
Fat Sheep.—Competition was spirited throughout the sale,, prices all round showing an advance. Freezing'/ buyers obtained a good proportion of the entry. Extra prime wethers, 48s. 6(1. to 645. Gd.; primo wethiers. 40s. lo 475.; medium wethers, Ms. 6d. to Sfls. 3d.; lighter wethers. 325, od. to Ills.; extra prime ewes. 455. to 555.: prime ewes 38s. to ils. 3d.: medium ewes. 325. to 875.: light and unfinished ewes, 225. fid. to 80s. Fat Cattle.— High .prices were realised for anything at oil prime, but for secondary quality the narket was easier owing to over-supply.
