TRAINERS AND JOCKEYS
PBOPOSED TJNBEGISTEEED ASSOCIATION. By Telegraph—Press Association Hastings, June 20. A largely-attended meeting of trainers and .lockoys was held last evening in the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's rooms,' at which over Bixty were present to discu«s a circular letter issued to licensed trainers and jockeys by Sir George Clinord In recard to forming a combined trainers and jockeys' unregistered aßßociation. The following resolutions were unanimously carried:—
"That jockeys should have an unregistered association among themselves, and be represented by a deputation of jockeys to the executive of the Bacine Conference annually, or oftener if required.
"That owners, breeders, and trainer* Bbould form an association in each metropolitan centre, to meet together not less than six times a year. A cony of all resolutions parsed and business done ai each meeting of each association to be sent to each of the associations once a year. Delegates from each association to meet and arrange what suggestions or requests are to be put before the Hoeing Conference, and to appoint two delegates from amongst themselves to represent them at the conference. . ' .-'
"That the delegates appointed by Eawke's Bay District Committee be requested in the event of licensing by conference being parried at the next meeting of conference, to strongly oppose page 3J, part 21, of new Rule 7." .
