SUDDEN DEATH IN THE CITY
A sudden death occurred nt the Masonic Hotel on Saturday. James Grogan, a single man, engaged a loom at the liotel at 11 o'clock in the morning, and immediately went up to his apartment. As he di<l not come down for dinner a porter visited his room shortly after 6 o clooK 'in the evening. There lie found Grogan lying fully dressed cn the bed and apparently''dead. Medical assistance was summoned, nnd life was pronounced to b>> extinct. The deceased was subject to fits, and had been attended from time to time l>y two doctors.in the city on this account. The deceased, who was middleaged, was, from his papers, a member or tho Painters' Union. A brother resides at Greymouth.
