The difficulties of repatriation hitherto had been insurmountable. He hoped tho new route to the Baltic would enable the repatriation of six thousand to and from Russia 'before the, winter.— Reuter.

Prince Firouz, of Persia, had a conference with, the Secretary-General and the French representative on the League of Nations, but it is, understood that no solution of tho matter was reached. Prince Firouz declines any oompromiso which -would be unsatisfactory to the Persian Government. He considers that
