CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR
ANNUAL CONVENTION. The convention of the Wellington Christian Endeavour Union was continued last night in the Taranaki Street Methodist Schoolroom. Tho president (Kev. Dr. : Pinfold) presided. .The chairman icmarkcd that they - voro onlv a small band, but they belonged to a very big movement. Tho society low numbered five million members all fiver tho world. The secretary's report stated that the first year had been a good one. During tho year several Endeavour rallies, -.vero held, one at Blenheim and another at Nelson. The Kev. fi. Becklngham gave an address on "The Hand, the Plough, and tho Furrow." He took hiß text from the ninth chapter of St. Luke, verse 62, and urged everybody to give whole-hearted service. Having put their hand to the plough they 6hould do everything to carry on and servo God. They should not turn back. They could not guide the plough looking baokwards. Ho referred to the Welsh revival of 1904-05 and hoped that the Endeavour of tho Wellington Union would carry out a similar revival. The following officers were elected for the rnsuing year:—President, Rev. Dr. Pinfold; vice-presidents, Revs. S. Beckingham and T. Keith Ewen; secretary. Mr. It. T, Hudam; assistant-secretary, Mr. A. Brooks; treasurer, Miss Andrews; junior visitor, Mr. Burton.
