SENTENCE COMMUTED TO LIFE' IMPRISONMENT.

[Ex-Constable Worrell was found guilty of murdoring his wife, and was sentenced to death. Mrs. Worrell's body was discovered 'in scrub at Woronora Park, near Sutherland, with a bullet wound in the temple. At his trial Worrell made a statement that the deceased, during a fit of mad jealousy because lie had married his first wife while on service in England, Matched a revolver and shot herself dead, and that fear prevented him from reporting the circumstances. .
