END OF THE DROUGHT
GREAT DEMAND FOE SHEEP FOR RESTOCKING. (Rec. June 15, 8.15 p.m.) Sydney, June 15. For many months the Homebush market lias been overcrowded with scook from the drohight-strickiea areas. Amongst other offerings . were many thousands of breeding ewes and young wethers, which were sold at sacrificial prices. With the coming of rain, however, the position has completely altered. There is a great demand for restocking purposes, and this has caused prices to rocket, and has laTgely, depleted the market for mutton supply. In a lesser degree the cattle ! market has been similarly affected.—Press Assn.
