MAGISTRATE'S COURT
A short sitting of tho Maeißtrate'e ' Court was hold on Saturday morning with Mr. -E. Page.S.M., on the bench. Convicted for the sixth time in six ..months of drunkenness, William Bichards was fined £2. with the option of nervine •even days' imprisonment, aud ft prohi-, bition order, to bp in, force'for twelve months, waß issued aealnst him. Among the first offenders was a watersider vrho, accqrdin? to Sub-Inspcctot Emerson, wenii homo drunk, drove his wifo and children out of the house, aud smashed a' lot of crockery. The-; Masistrato wanted to ■ issue . a prohibition order against him, but tho man would not give his consent. . ' • Barclay Hector was fined £2, in defanlt seven- days' imprisonment, for boils disorderly in liambton Quay while drank. Edward Ralph Martin was remanded, to appear in Chrfntchurch on June 16 on a charge of failing to comply with r the terms of a maintenance order in respect ; to his wife. '
