WARNER CONCERNED IN SELECTING TEAM FOR AUSTRALIA.

London, June 11. The first representative cricket match, Gentlemen v. Players, will be played at tho Ova?, on June 30. Mr. P. P. Warner will pick the sides, and this indicates that ho will have a most powerful voice in selecting the team for Australia. He hns invited Parkin, the Lancashire professional, to play on Juno 30. The latter lias o reputation of being the best bowlor in England since Barnes. Parkin, [ike Barnes, prefers league cricket. Warner's invitation and Lancashire's consent indicate that Parkin may ho invited to Australia, despito tho Marylebono ruling barring from representative matches and tours abroad -players' not pledging themselves to assist the county «hen required.
