When the run down the. hill came to bo undertaken Slowcoach was seen to be still goinß well, and with Lochclla in hot pursuit excitement was raised to a high pitch.. They'leaped the stone wall almost simultaneously . and raced to the last hurdle on close terms, both leaping the obstacle in fine Btyle. Slowcoach hung 011 gamely to his taßk, but Lochclla always had the better of his young rival, and tho favourito galloped home a winner by two lengths and a half. Old Mungindi was 50 yards away third.
