However, ft considerable boom for Mr. H. C. Hoover was started to-night, but the boomers have not yet come out into tho open, though it is whispered that big interests are backing him. It is argued that Mr. Hoover is a friend cj the League of Nations and the League supporters will naturally back him. It vould seem to-night, however, that Mr. H. W. Johnson is favourite.
