Influenza notifications last week were received from the following liospital districts within the Wellington area:—Waipawa, 11; Taranaki, 20; Stratford, 26; Hawera. 25; I > atea, 13; "Wanganui, 35; •Wellington, 83; Palmerston Nortn, 36; Wnirarapa, 23; Nelson, 7. The pneumonic cases were distributed as follow:— Taranaki. 1; Stratford, 1; "Wanganui, 7; Wellington, G. Infectious Diseases. Infectious diseases reported last week totalled 313, compared with 683 for tlio previous week. The cases were distributed; as follow;—'Waipawa: Scarlet fover, 2; diphtheria, 4; tuberculosis, 1; influenza pneumonia, 1; measles, 1; erysipelas, 1. Taranaki; Scarlet fever, 2; influenza, 20; varicella, 2. ■ Straifcford: Diphtheria, 1; influenza. 2G; pneumonia, 1: varicella, 2. Hawera: Diphtheria, 2; influenza. 25; varicella, 1.
