MAGISTRATE'S COURT
A short sitting of the Magistrate's Court was hold yesterday morning, Captain Hannah and Mr. A. Collins, Justices of the Peace, ]>eiiig on the boncli. Sydney Partridge; a seaman, was charged with obtaining board to tho amount of ,£lO by falsely representing that ho was employed by Griffiths and Co. at ,£3 10s. per week nnd was getling ofilflO compensation from the soma firm. On the application of ChiefDetective Wnrd ho was remanded until this morning. Bail was allowed in J125 and one suroty of £25.
Michael Lane, for being drunk, was convicted and discharged, and for committing, a grossly, indecent act he was fined .£2, in deiault one week's imprisolirflont.
