Washington, Juno 2. Japanese diplomats express the hope ■that the United States will become a party to the Anglo-Japanese defence alliance. Britain will submit the question for the renewal of the pnet to tlio Dominions' Conference, to be held in London shortly. Japan sees that it is passible to supplant the League of Nations by a series of defensive alliances between the principal world PowersRouter. PROBABLE EXTENSION OF ALLIANCE FOR A YEAR, (Rec. Juno 4, 1.25 a.m.) London, June 3. The "Daily Mail" 9tates that very probably the Anglo-Japanese Alliance will bo extended automatically for another vear. The time available before July baTely suffices for tho revision consenuont on the elimination of German influence in the Far East-United Service.
