LOCO. MEN'S DISPUTE
BOARD MAY MEET THIS WEEK.
Now that tho dispute with the A.S.R.S has been dealt with 'by the special conciliation committee appointed to coneider it, the way is clear for tho consideration. of tho other railway disputes. Next in order should come the lasc of the locomotive men. They had arranged for a special outside committee, two nominated by their union and two nominated by tlie Government, to consider their trouble. Their nominees were Mr. ,T S. Dickson, M.P.. and Mr. W. D. Hunt, managing director of Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co. Mr Hunt, however, is leaving so soon for England that ho is unable to go on with tho work, and in his stead Mr. J. T. Martin, of the same firm, has been appointed. Tho dispute will, probably come up for hearing during this week.
