NEW SCALE OPERATES TO-DAY. From to-day the public will have to pay more in the way of tram fares than in the past, in order tlmt the City Council may bo in a position to meet the new rates of pay conceded to the tramway employees. The new scnlo is a cciisidorable iidvanco oil the old one. In most instances concession tickets have been advanced Gd. in price (which has to be spread over the fourteen rides oil concession tickets other than tho white one-section ticket, which' is advanced in prico from Is. 3d. to Is. fid. for twelve rides). , Tho new cash fare scale is as follows; — One section 2d. Two sections 3d. Three sections 4d. Four sections 4d. ■ Five, sections sd. Six sections sd. ; The new scale for concession tickets is as follows:— Ticket. Per s. d. Ride.
