In tho Magistrate's Court this morninir, William Sli'aw. trading as the North Shaw Rubber Company, vas charged with breaches of the Bankruptcy Act. in that —(1) Having been adjudged bankrnpt, ho had within three years brfore the commencement of such bankruptcy made payments out of tho regular course of his business, not'being for trie ordinary expenses of himself nr hi? family. (2) Havliiff bren adjudged a bankrupt, he had bv unjustifiable extravagance, brought about such bankruptcy. Shaw, who pleaded not guilty, reserved 1 l.is defence and was committed for trial. Bail was allowed in one surety of .£IOO.
