The performers were Mrs. J. W. Oarr, Misses Fnrnuhar. B'own, O'Brien, nnd Lewis, and Messrs. J. W. Carr, Gerald Bell, Twits Ohiaholm, Smythe. Mr. J. W. Carr was at the piano. Mr. Moore spoke in "Sober bv Act of Parliament." and. nledecs -wore taken. Prizes for the competitions came from the hostess and hont, and went to seamen from the Port Nicholson. Thanks for gifts came from tho Homo for Blinded Sailors. The fortnightly meetine; of tho Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was held last evening. The pre'l'lent, "?. F.
