D The Management Committee reported that Mrs. Wilding was desiro* of donating one of the late Anthony P. Wilding's silver cups to the, association as a, challenge cup The report. suggested tha* the cup should go.with and form , part of the Anthony Wilding Interprovincial Perpetual Challenge Shield. rt„f a \ dsc ,j e v *> R , cc , 6 Pt the cup, and that it should be added to the Anthony IVilding Interprovinciat Perpetual Challenge Shield. A vote of thanks.'to Mrs. Wilding for her gift was passed. It was decided that the noxt general meeting should consider the proposal to include a boys' junior singles, champion- - ship of New Zealand,'and a girls' junior championship of New Zealand, in tho •New Zealand championship mcetiV. The conditions suggested were that the maximum entrance fee be 2s.- fid., and that tho competitors should have not attained the ago of 18 at the closing date,of entries, and should be bona-fide pupils attending any primary or secondary schoo, college, university, tcc-Hnical school, or commercial' tchool, or other Tocognised educational institution, or a membra of a tennis association affiliated to the New Zealand Lawn' Tennis Association. ■ It was decided to adopt, the,Ayres ball for the New Zealand championship meeting. It was stated that the Australasian Association was awaiting tin?, decision of New Zealand as to which town the next Davis Cup contest set bo played in. The Hastings Club had. withdrawn its application for the match to be held at Hastings owing to the delay in roming to a decision. The Southland, Otago. and Wellington Associations favoured Auckland's application; whilst Wanganui was only anxious that '.he match-should be played in New Zealand. Canterbury had also applied for the mahh to be played there, but the last matcta was played in Canterbury. The Canterbury representative stated that Canterbury was prepared'to stand down in favour of Auckland. It was stated that part of the Auckland Domain cricket ground had been obtained, and Messrs, Beamish and Lowe had- expressed their satisfaction at the situation, light, and tho sizo of the ground. On tho motion of the president it wns unanimously decided thnt.s the match should be held in Auckland. It was reoommended that tho matches should be held on December 21, 22, and It was decided to send the dates December 23. 24, and 27 as alternate dates for the match.
