FARMERS' FREEDOM FORCE A BULWARK AGAINST BOLSHEVISM (By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright London, May 25. Irish farmers aro contemplating the formation-of - a Farmers' Freedom Forco, as a permanent bulwark-Against Socialism and Bolshevism. It is proposed to ramify the country with units, i;nd hundreds of "physically fit men are prepared to moot force by force where Government action is undesirable or is not exercised. Ulster pickets, who were watching Sinn Fein activities in Liei'bellaw, surprised raiders attacking a soldier's house at-midnight. They sounded sirens and church-hells, and three hundred armed volunteers responded, and drove oif the raiders after a lively fusiladc.
The Sinn Fein Court ordered an exoditor to sell farmers' cattle to repay a debt, and sentenced the farmers to a term of hard labour on their own land. —"The Times."
