DRIVER'S WONDERFUL ESCAPE.By Telegraph—Presa Association. Wanganui, May 26. A sensational motor-car accident occurred about twelve miles up the Wanganui River yesterday. W. Tennant, a Wanganui taxi-driver, was motoring along the bank in the vicinity of the starting point of the rowing championship course. He had just dropped soma passengers, and was turning round, when "tho wheels became locked. Thb engine began to race, and the car leaped completely over the bank, and dropped 150 feet. It turned a couple of somersaults in the air, and deposited Tennant. on a ledge only two feet wide. ! The car then again leapt, and dropped into, the bed of the river. The ratal-drop is estimated at 300 foot. Tennant escaped with a few bruiseb. .
