EFFORT TO GET SHIPPING.
Apple growers in the south have had a particularly good year, and it is quite certain that there will be a surplus for oxport, if ships should be available to hike the. fruit to England and the West Coast of America. Apparently the hest market offering is in Britain. Sir. Massey expressed tho opinion yesterday that there would bo a surplus of 100,000 cases for expert, still leaving a plentiful supply for tho requirements of New Zealand consumers. He said that he was doing his best to obtain shipping space for apples, and he had somo hope of being able to obtain space for somo at least of the New Zenland surplus.
