CONFERENCE STILL PROCEEDING.
The conference between the representatives of the Railway Department and the Amalgamated Society ot Railway Servants lias not yet concluded. The representatives of the two parties wore not sitting together during a great part of yesterday. It is understood that the two parties were examining in private tho claims and proposals submitted, from the A.S.R.S. on tho one hand, and presumably also from the Dopartmcnt. There ha 3 been nothing in tho nature of a. Tjrcach of negotiations.
