News has reached Wellington that Miss Gladys Campbell sailed from London by the liner Indarra on May 1, and should arrive early in Juno. Sho hes gained much valuable experience in her profession during the past London season by attending special courses of instruction of leading masters, among others the instructor of Madame Pavlova, the famous Russian dancer. Miss Campbell has much praise for the recent'developments ,of the Eurythmic School, which has the approval of all who. appreciate the best type of classical and ball-room dancing, and she will have many interesting features to intrcduce to Wellington. At the time of writing Miss ■ Campbell, was experiencing the joys or a lovely April, and bad even heen boating on the river near her old home at Hamp-ton-on-Tharaes. Visits to the Flying School at Hendon and ascents by aeroplane'havo made her enthusiastic aben'e flying. TII9 theatres and concerts have, of course, claimed attention. As regards the cost of living in London, and the shortage of food, Miss Campbell' thinks reports nTc very much exaggerated. There are no terrors for those whese tastes do not incline to extravagance. Over G. 000,000 acres' of land aro under tobacco cultivation throughout the world.
