Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from tlieir London office, under date Mav 10:—"At the auction sales 1895 casks tallow were offered, and 1530 sold. Prime beef and mutton are unchanged, good colour mixed sold for 85s. Average price of inferior descriptions is 2s. higher." Followinc is the copy 'of a cablegram from the London' office of the Farmers' Co-operative Wholesale Federation, Ltd., dated May 21'"Wool.— Owing lack confidence in the future,' buyers extremely cautions. 'Sales difficult. Tallow—Advanced another Is. exccpt best qualities. Oats.—Maple peas firm. Mutton—Cut carcasses and ewes Bd., cuts, eweS Td. per lb."
