DROP IN PRICES OF FURS

New York, May 21. Tho fur auction sales show that tho prices of furs are 25 to 30 per cent, lower than at spring sales. There is a general tightening of the markets, with an attendant fall in prices. A number of small dealers, throughout the country have. failed, wliilo others were raved after receiving aid from the American Fur Dealers' Association. The policies of the banka in restricting credits are hold, to be responsible for this de-velopment.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
