KINDNESS TO WOUNDED SOLDIERS
DOMINIONS' FLAGS PRESENTED IN RECOGNITION. (Eec. May 23, 5.5 p.m.)' London,. May 21. The Lord Mayor of Bristol presided over a function which official representatives of the Dominions attended for the purpose of presenting a of flags in acknowledgment of the kindnesses- and hospitality extended to sick and wounded men- in war time. Tho Canadian High Commissioner 'Sir George Perley) presented a Canadian flag, tho New Zealand. High Commissioner (Sir 'Thomas Mackenzie) a Now Zealand flag, Colonel Herbert (for tho High Commissioner of tho Union- of 1 South Africa) a. South African flag, and; Mr. Robert Bush (on behalf of General' Birdwood) an Australian Imperial Forces flag. Sir Thomas Mackenzie said', that they were thanked for helping the Mother Country, but they remembered what the Mother- Country did for the Dominions in the earlier days in expending blood and treasure—Aus.-N.Z".
