Br Teleeraph.-Special Correspondent*.: . Palmerston North, May 21. Dr. Valintine, Inspector-General of Hospitals, visited Palmerston North today and inspected Mr. W. Park's property,, which the local Hospital and Charitable Aid Board proposed to acquire for a. maternity homo. After inspection of the premises, he said he considered it unsuitable for the purpose, though a very fine private residence. Dr. Valintine 6tated that it was not the policy of the Government to purchase places already erected. Dr. Valintino afterwards met the representatives of the board and discussed matters relative to tho establishment of a St. Hclenß Homo in Palmerston, and the result of tho deliberations will be reported to the board.
