Mr. Andrew Fisher (Australian High Commissioner) ipresided over a large meeting at Australia House of city men and officials to arrange n farewell to Mr. Thomas Mackenzie (High Commission sr for New Zealand) Mr. J. M. MTSride said they regarded Sir Thomas Mackenzie as a man vit'i whom they always had been oble to consult on difficult problems affecting Australasia and the Empire. Mr. Lloyd George wrote regretting that owing to the state of his health he would be unable to preside at tho banquet. Viscount Milner agreed to preside. The banquet was fixed for June 10. An influential committee was appointed. including Viscount Harcourt; Viscount Worthcliffe, Viscount Burnham, Lord Beaverbrook, Lord Inchcape, Lord Carmichuel, and tho Lord Mayor and councillors.—Aus.-N.Z.
