NORTON ESTATE APPEAL
CLAIM FOR RECOVERY OF STOLEN MONEY. Sydney, May 19. Tho Full Court has commenced the hearing of an appeal by tho trustees of John Norton's C3tnte against the verdict in the case against tho Union Bank.— Press Assn. [The trustees of the lato John Norton's estate claimed ,£17,420 from the Union Bank for cheques drawn by Harold M'CUntock when he was secretary to tho trustees. The plaintiffs claimed that M'CUntock obtained tho money without tho authority of the trustees, and that the bank was responsible. Tho verdict was against tho plaintiffs. M'Clintoek, on a charge of stealing a cheqilo for ,£IOOO, the property of the trustees, was recently sentenced to three ycare' imprisonment.!
