FRENCH RAILWAYS
UNIFIED ADMINISTRATION PROPOSED. Paris, May 18. A Bill has been introduced in the Chamber of Deputies proposing the unified administration of all the French railways. It is proposed that, they should be controlled by a "super-director-ate," representing the Government, the workers, and tho qwners; and that the dividends and sinking funds of the various lines should be combined, that losses should be made'up in common, and l that uniform, rates shall be charged, or based on th,e profits and losses of all tlie lines. -Aus.-N.Z.
