A meeting of-the-Women's National , Council was held in the Pioneer Club last evening. Miss Coail, 31.A., was in. the chair.- A letter was rend from tho Employers' Association and Labour Department regarding heating' in shops where women aro employed. Surprise was expressed that there should be shops ..•which were not supplied with heating apparatus, and it was stated that they would see to the matter. ' ' . ,_ Arrangements were made for the holding of the annual meeting of tte society some time this month. Affiliations were received from the Trained Nurses' Association and the Stratford branch of tho .Women's National Reserve; "A cost-of-living" meeting, to be held under' the , auspices of the Returned Soldiers' Association, was dismissed, and it was 'decided to heartily support the movement. It was also decided to hold a public meeting for Wellington women in order to make known to them facts regarding the delivery of fish, fruit, and vegbtables, and also to discuss n campaign in regard to the cost-of-living question,'to he made during - next session. ■
