A line dribbling rush by Suburbs carried nil before them, and Smith joining in scored. Kieby again failed to convert. Athletio then took a hand, but their efforts rroved fruitless. From a t/iiialty Swaysland kicked a xroal. Some good passim; by Suburbs' backs was stopped by nno tackling by Uickettß and Moss. ■ No ' further score was registered in the first ■ spell. Suburbs. 8; Athletic, 2. On resuming Athletic set up a strong ottack, and after some fast interesting play Dew followed up smartly, and scored alongside the posts. Meares missed the caß.v kick. Play continued to be very fast, but the i defence of both sides was sound. From a lone, looflcr rush Spencer 1 scored his second try, Swaysland failing to convert.
