EXPIRATION OF PRICE GUAR- .. ANTES. Washington, May 14. A eerious outcome jb anticipated' as the result of the expiration of the wheat price guarantee, consequent on the withdrawal of the United States Government from' the wheat market on Juno 1. Tho Wheat Director, Mr. Bales, suggests as a remedy that'the United States Grain Corporation should make loans to grain-dealers and bankers from the Wheat Guarantee Fund of 1000 million dollars,, which is virtually untouched, and thus enable them to handle tho new crop during the delay in realising on t'tf old crop owing to tho gravo shortage of railway wagons.—Aus.-N.Z.
