PRICE OF BUTTER
NO BIGINCEBASE. "A number of statements have been made recently about a probable increase in the retail price of butter," said the Prime Minister on' Saturday. "In order to allay anxiety on this point I may say that the Government lias in hand 'Arrangements for ensuring supplies of butter for several months ahead at a price to the consumer which will, at the most, be only very slightly in excess of the present controlled price."
