< COMPANIES AMALGAMATE. , 'By Telegraph—Prc3s Association Gisborne, May 13. An important amalgamation of farmera' interests lias been agreed upon. Subject to the confirmation of the-share-holders concerned, the Gisborne Sheepinrmers' Frozen Meat Company (apart from its mercantile side), tlio Tokoraaru Bay Works, and works now being constructed at Hicks Bay, will amalgamate with the Gisborne Sheepfarniers' Mercantile business. The Tokomaru Trading Company, To Ararwi Trading Company, and .the Gisborne Farmers' Cooperative Co'mpanr will similarly amalgamate. The unity of tho Gisborne Sheepfarmers' Company will bo maintained, but the freezing and mercantile branches will be entirely separated and controlled by separate boards of directors.
