NEW PLYMOUTH EXTENSIONS. Br Telegraph—Press Association. New Plymouth', May 13. Polls were takea yesterday on 'pro-' posaln to borrow .£72,000 and .£57,000 for hydro-electric power extensions and streets, etc. The . former proposal iras carried by 778 votes to 9G, and the _ latter by 720 votes to 151. The hydro-electric scheme will'increase the power available from 1000 h.p. to 3000 h.p., and is capablo of extension to 9000 h.p.
