A traveller by aeroplane can maintain conversation with a land station 150 miles away, and miniature telephone exchanges can be established oil aeroplanes so that they-may talk to one another as, well as to land.stations. A calling device has been evolved, so that continuous attendance at the receiver is not necessary.
