The Prime Minister, replying to a coirmwiieation from Colonel Mitchell, iM.P, has stated that in future every endeavou'-' will bo made to provide a weekly allocation of coal for delivery from the State. Coal Depot, having regard to 1 the demands of essential industries and domestic users. With reference to Mr. Mitchell's suggestion that offices in the city, should, receive orders, and relieve the congestion at th.i central depot, Mr. Massey said - that machinery for this purpose had Ibeen,provided some years ago, but, owing to the shortage of supplies, it was found impossible to bring the system into operation. As soon as the new State collieries Teach the output stage, ' find adequate supplies of State coal are again available, tho question of inaugurating some such system will be carefully considered.
