Mr. Thomas Manson, -whose death was j recorded yesterday, was'a'very old nnd j esteemed resident of Die Man.-iwaln dis-. \ trict. He originally came from Scotland, , and went from there to Canada with his j brother to set up a timber milling plant. j When nuite a young man, however, be ! came o.ut to the Dominion and settled ) in .Palmerston North, where for some i years ho followed the calling of n builder j and contractor.
